With Sinfonia Toronto, he has appeared as soloist, toured Germany and Spain, and recorded four CDs. With the Windermere String Quartet, on period instruments, he has performed over 100 classical works, premiered eight new works, recorded one CD, and appeared as artist-in-residence at festivals in Ontario and Quebec. With Aradia he toured New Zealand and recorded fourteen CDs.
He has been acclaimed as “a violist of distinction” (Berliner Tageszeitung) and “a splendid violist” (New Zealand Herald).
In 2014 he collaborated with choreographer Lisa Emmons and Form Contemporary Dance Theatre to create the critically acclaimed Storm and Silence.
He is a Visiting Artist at Etobicoke School of the Arts.
Anthony received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Juilliard School in New York, where he studied viola with Lillian Fuchs, string quartet with Robert Mann, baroque style with Albert Fuller, and contemporary performance with Joel Sachs and Paul Zukovsky.
